In memoriam
Professor Margaret Morrison

Michela Missimi wrote:

Margaret Morrison passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2021 after a long illness. She will be remembered in the field for her seminal work with Mary Morgan on models as mediators, on computer simulations, on scientific representation, on unification in science and many more topics in the history and philosophy of modern physics. Today with her we have lost one of our dearest pathfinders in philosophy of science. But, most of all, we have lost a friend and a mentor — someone who was selfless in helping students and early career scholars and enabling them to find their own way in the field. We lit a little light in memoriam of Margie and her philosophical work that will continue to inform and inspire our debates and discussions.
